Looking For Family
It was in the early evening when Sindee arrived to Emerald Harbour. Her knowledge of the town and what it meant to her was like a puzzle with too many missing pieces, and she was here to find them.
Sindee grew up in a house with a woman she had no relation to, Opal Pruit. Opal’s daughters had just moved out of the house when she joined the family but after the death of Opal, a mother to all three of them, they chose to return to Emerald Harbour together. Sindee wished to find her past, Helen and Lindsey came to honor their mother’s wishes but they didn’t know how long they would stay.
Lindsey being the responsible sister picked up a phone and immediately called searching for a place for her and Helen to stay while they were in town. She was pointed into the direction of a place called the flop house anf Lindsey was glad to hear that the town did have somewhere available.
Lindsey made sure Sindee had a place to go immediately after hanging up, but Sindee had been planning this trip the moment she realized she had a family of her own somewhere and was well prepared. With a hug and words of good luck the sisters took off towards the flop house and Sindee took off towards her new home.
Home looked as though it was designed specifically for Sindee, everything in her favorite color, yellow.
It was small, but while eating her bowl of soup she decided it was perfect.
The next day Sindee started her search. As she walked around town she passed by a building full of kids. A lady getting inside a car seemed unhappy to have been there and was grumbling something about “stupid orphans”. With that she decided it must be the orphanage. Sindee could have grown up there. Had it not been for Opal’s kind heart this would have been her home. The day of the disaster Opal fell asleep on an evacuation bus and when she woke up in her arms laid Sindee. Had it been anyone else they may not have taken her in as their own.
Her search started with town hall. The place was huge and she wondered if she would even know where to go once inside.
Luckily a man out front of the building didn’t mind answering any questions.
“I’m looking for some people. Would you know of anyone who recently moved to town and might be missing a family member?”
“Yeah, everyone here.”
It certainly didn’t make her feel any better to have met him.
She had come too far to turn back now though so she walked up to the building and entered the dusty, dark building.

Love the story!
Awww, poor Sindee
This far I think I like her the most in this story, dunno why, maybe her plot to search for home is just so good
Her story is so much more difficult to write since her history is for the most part unknown, but it does have quite a bit of potential.
Great update, I hope we get to hear more about Sindee soon!
Wow…real helpful guy Sindee ran into.
Of course, the writers know more about Sindee’s past, but from a reader’s viewpoint, I can’t wait to see how her discovery goes.
Great job, Sam!
I’m going to guess that Sindee is related to Sedrick Collier. Maybe a sister or something…
They do look similar…
Did that guy have light red skin!?
I don’t think his skin is light red, but he has red hair and so do his children. Also he has multiple births so maybe that runs in the family.
The 2 girls she was with are her adopted sisters. So those two are not actually related to her.
No, I mean the guy she was talking to.
(About the skin)
Yes he does. Maybe it’s a sunburn… Or he’s angry about something!
Oh I like this!
Great chapter. I hope this doesn’t get too confusing with all these families XD
Our idea is to set it up much like day time soaps. We’re introducing a lot of characters and each does have their own story but as time goes on we might choose to end the stories that turn out to be less interesting, some may be less frequent, and some may join together. We’re currently just doing the introductions right now and it may seem overwhelming but it hopefully won’t seem that way once the story really gets going.
